About This Location
The awesome Tusayan-Montane Campground, which used to be called Ten-X, is super close to Tusayan, just 2 miles south, and it’s 47 miles north of Williams on U.S. Highway 180/AZ Highway 64. The campground is about 10 miles from the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. Tusayan-Montane is a nice campground found in a pretty forest filled with ponderosa pine and Gambel oak on the Tusayan Ranger District. It’s a calm and peaceful place where you can usually find open camping spots, as well as single and group sites.
Tusayan-Montane has a short nature trail #42, located close to the campground entrance. It’s a 0.05-mile hike or bike ride through tall ponderosa pine trees, where you can see the local plants and animals.
The road in is Paved. Tusayan-Montane Campground is open May 1 – Sept. 30 ((Open season can vary depending on weather, snowfall and road access.). There are 30 or more campsites at this location and the maximum RV length is 35 Feet (See General Notes). You may stay 14 Days at Tusayan-Montane Campground.
Tusyan-Montane (formerly Ten-X) Campground is located 2 miles south of Tusayan and 47 miles north of Williams on U.S. Highway 180/AZ Highway 64. The campground is only about 4 miles from the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park.
