New Mexico’s State Parks are very affordable compared to other states. Sugarite Canyon NM State Park Lake Alice Campground is a Full hookup site — $18 per reserved online. Bath house is about a mile back at the park office. Walked a trail and toured the old coal camp ruins site. Vault toilets and trash receptacles. This is bear country and bear boxes provided. Staff was very nice; will visit Sugarite Canyon NM State Park Lake Alice Campground again.
