About This Location
Sites have been levelled and graveled, as has the access road (CR320). Should be accessible in a large RV, however overhanging tree branches may restrict clearance. CR320 is a dead end, hence it is extremely quiet.
Shirey Bay Rainey Brake WMA. Camping is permitted only in authorized spots. There are many boondocking campsites on both sides of the region. Mosquitoes and biting insects are a huge problem for campers during warm weather. Every fall, as squirrel season begins, a large number of campers inhabit the campsites. Campers like the combination of squirrel hunting and fishing in the nearby lakes or on the Black River.
