About This Location
Awesome free camping spread out along Forest Road in Coconino National Forest! It’s a simple, free spot for camping in the desert, and it has a few cool things about it. 1. If you pick the right spot to camp, you could see the cliff dwellings!
In my opinion, they look way cooler from a distance than when you get really close. Camp Verde and the highway are really near each other. If your rig is small, you can camp really close to Beaver Creek.
The road in is Dirt. You may stay 14 nights at Near Montezuma Castle. Drive up the road to the monument. On the right you will see a dirt road and a bulletin board offset from the paved road. That’s the road you want.
