About This Location
Located in the cool pines atop Mingus Mountain, this campground offers a spectacular view of the Verde Valley, the red rocks of Sedona, the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, and the Mogollon Rim. Mingus Mountain Campground is open May – October. There are 16-29 campsites at this location and the maximum RV length is 40′. You may stay 14 days.
Approximately 60 minutes from Prescott or Camp Verde, AZ. Off of Hwy 89A (between Prescott Valley and Jerome), turn on Forest Road 104 (at the Summit Picnic Site). Follow dirt road approximately 2.5 miles to 4-way stop. A right turn takes you into the campground.
10/2024 Mingus Mountain Campground currently has no electricity due to lightning damage. If you have questions please call the Verde Ranger Station at (928) 567-4121.
