Mayhill Forest Creek NM Boondocking Location: Free Dispersed camping in the Lincoln National Forest’s Sacramento Ranger District. 1st come -> 1st served. No reservations accepted.

Excellent spot. This whole road is designated as dispersed camping so there are multiple places to pull off. The mark on the GPS map on this site seems to be in use by a cattle operation so probably wouldn’t suggest camping right at the pinpoint.

Road is in excellent condition. Only problem might be for very large rigs due to some tight switchbacks

Pack out all your trash and do your best to leave no trace. It’s just good manners.

You can stay for up to 14 days in any 28-day stretch. After that, you’ll need to move at least 25 miles away before camping again on BLM land.
