About This Location

Sunrise RV Park Los Alamos NM: This is a parking lot style place to overnight. It was created basically for Los Alamos National Lab contractors to stay in their RVs while on Lab projects. There is a free dump and water station here and nice heated bathrooms. You have to get a permit and pay the low camping fee at the recreation center at the pool in town. You can dial 311 for more info from Los Alamos County.

There are good views. You are right next to the main road into town so there is a lot of road noise. There are great hikes nearby. You are about 3 miles from downtown Los Alamos. There is a bike trail nearby that leads to town. There is a great Coop natural foods type market within walking distance.

Check out these other Free and Paid boondocking spots. They sit inside the great state of New Mexico, surrounded by wide-open spaces. Always follow the Leave No Trace principles when boondocking.
