Previous Reviews:

Kewadin Casino in Manistique: RV camping area outside of casino parking lot. There are several spots on the grass with 20-amp hookups along with picnic tables. There are a few 30-amp outlets at the post right where the parking lot meets the grass. This area was honestly nicer than some paid campgrounds where we have stayed. No dump or water here – but thankfully we had taken care of all that at their other location in St. Ignace.

The casino is small but fun enough to play some slots. If you happen to get drinks in the bar, be sure to get your free popcorn! Staff were all really friendly and helpful. We were able to get on their wi-fi while inside the casino. Get a players card and you’ll get $5 of slot play! It says to check-in about RV camping, but you really don’t need to – we just did it as a courtesy.

About This Location

Kewadin Casino in Manistique, MI brings together small-town friendliness and a taste of Vegas-style gaming up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s open every day and welcomes both locals and travelers who want to try their luck on the slots or catch some live entertainment. You’ll spot the casino right on US-2, so it’s pretty convenient whether you’re just passing through or planning to hang around a bit.

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians owns and runs Kewadin Casino, blending tribal business with a hometown feel. Even though it’s not huge, the place stays busy thanks to a steady stream of promotions and events. If you want to stick around longer, you’ll find easy parking and camping options nearby.

Personally, I like how Kewadin Casino manages to keep things lively without losing its welcoming, laid-back vibe. The tribal connection means the business runs smoothly and supports the local community—even after some tough setbacks, like those ransomware attacks they dealt with not too long ago.

Key Takeways

  • The casino’s easy to reach and open every day.
  • It mixes local flavor with gaming and entertainment.
  • Tribal ownership keeps things stable for the business and community.

Things To Do

At Kewadin Casino in Manistique, you’ll find plenty of ways to play. The casino has slot machines and table games for anyone willing to try their luck. It’s not a massive place, so it feels a bit more personal and cozy.

There’s also the Mariner’s Cove restaurant inside, where you can grab anything from a quick bite to a big meal. If you’re in the mood to relax, Team Spirits Bar has a sports theme and is a decent spot to unwind after a few rounds at the slots.

If you want to step outside the casino, Manistique has some cool spots. Kitch-Iti-Kipi, or The Big Spring, is nearby and worth a visit if you’re into nature. Palms Book State Park isn’t far, either, and has some pretty unique scenery.

Sticking closer to town? The Manistique Boardwalk and River Walk are nice for a stroll and some fresh air. These outdoor options are a good counterbalance to the indoor buzz of the casino.

So, whether you’re here to gamble or just want a laid-back meal, Kewadin Casino in Manistique is a straightforward, fun place to spend a few hours.

Vehicle Access

We’ve got plenty of parking at Kewadin Casino in Manistique. The lot’s spacious and easy to get around, no matter what you’re driving.

If you’re rolling in with an RV, we can fit vehicles up to 50 feet long—makes things a lot easier for campers.

There are special spots for big RVs, so even the largest rigs can park without any hassle.

Just a heads up: while you can park your RV here, there’s no WiFi in the Kewadin Casino in Manistique. If you need to stay connected, plan ahead.

Our parking lot sits close to the casino entrance and the little gift shop, so it’s easy to get inside once you arrive.

Thinking about coming with a big vehicle during a busy time? It’s smart to check on parking availability first so you don’t run into any surprises.

RV And Camping Trailer Information

Right outside the casino parking lot, you’ll find an RV camping area. There are a handful of grassy spots with 20-amp electric hookups, and picnic tables at each site—makes it easy if you’re just staying a night or two.

Some spots have 30-amp hookups, too. No water or sewer, unfortunately, but the electric’s reliable for basic needs. The Kewadin Casino in Manistique is easy to spot from the highway, but keep an eye out for signs as you get close.

Parking’s free for RVs in this section, but don’t expect full hookups. The ground’s grassy, so if it’s been raining, it might be a little soft for heavier trailers.

Take Kewadin Hessel RV Park, for instance. They charge $22 per night for sites with electrical hookups, and $17 per night if you don’t need electricity. It’s a solid option if you want to stay close to the casino but still get some outdoor time.

We don’t have permit or paid camping directly in Manistique. But if you check out nearby towns like Sault Ste. Marie or St. Ignace, you’ll find campgrounds and parks with permit and paid options.
