About This Location
This free campsite is located within the Coconino National Forest’s Mormon Lake Ranger District. Great spot to boondock. Close to Flagstaff and easy access to gas station. Your allowed to stay a maximum of 14 days.
This is a high elevation location. This place is a really neat spot to escape the heat, and the perfect time to visit is late spring or early summer when the wildflowers are all blooming.
Kelly Canyon is a fun hike or mountain bike ride through one of Northern Arizona’s cool canyon environments. As you go down, the dry, upland pine forest changes into a super green place, bringing you into a whole new world! Check out the amazing oaks, elms, ferns, spring wildflowers, and other cool plants that you might not think you could find in Arizona!
