About This Location
The road is paved. There are one to five campsites at this area. If you are visiting Freeport, the location is quite convenient in the center of town. Stayed two nights, both with 10-15 RVs. Only a few locations are level. Due to the large number of people staying there, it can be a little noisy.
I spent a few nights here on my route north and again on my way south. The land is well-lit and close to other homes/office buildings, so it seems secure. Every night I slept here, there were other RVs and automobiles parked. It’s peaceful enough…some kids skateboarding, but not till very late, and then street cleaners and random stroller mommies in the morning, nothing too insane.
The Amtrak passes by, but I scarcely noticed it. The outdoor retail mall across the street has free bathrooms during the day (10-6ish). My Verizon connection was only good enough to make calls (2 bars), however there were several places with excellent wifi. A grocery store is within walking distance, as are a few restaurants, shops, and other establishments. I saw no cops, and no one harassed me during my stay here.
