A free BLM camping area on Hwy 95 between Quartzsite and Yuma. Get your 14day permit from the camp host. Very popular area. Lows and WINs have gatherings here. RVs are awning to awning during the winter season.
I just stayed for the night, pitched a tent, had to get going the next morning. Wish I could have stayed longer. Found a spot next to a little firepit. Lots of RVs, but didn’t seem too crowded. Windy and sandy, but that’s to be expected.
