About This Location
Ashbaugh Lake is a 500-acre lake that has an average depths of 3-8 feet depending on season. The maximum depth of the lake is approximately 12 feet.
Ashbaugh Lake can be reached by two routes. Follow Arkansas Highway 304 west out of Delaplaine, AR for 3 miles, then turn north on the gravel county road and go 1.5 miles to the lake.
The other route is to follow Arkansas Highway 280 north 2 miles out of Delaplaine, AR then turn west on the gravel county road and go 3 miles to the lake. Signs mark the turnoffs on major highways.
It is in Greene County which is 10 miles east of Pocahontas, AR. Boat lanes crisscross the timbered lake bed to provide on-the-water access, and the clean shoreline allows unobstructed access for bank anglers as well. Visible cover includes riprap on levees, brush, standing timber, and willows on shallow-water islands. Borrow ditches just inside the levees and a mud bottom represent bottom features of the lake.
