BASIC DETAILS:
Historically, there has been little interest in overnight camping on Big Lake, but dispersed camping is permitted around Mallard Lake where there is adequate space, and at access areas on the east and west sides of the area. There are no improvements other than gravel parking areas at free campsites. Mosquitoes and biting flies are a nuisance from early Spring through Fall.

About This Location
Pretty cool boondocking spot. Easy access to dispersed camping, somewhat level pull-offs. Beautiful sunsets. There are plenty of free camping options but they are all gravel turnouts. Easy to find! Nice and peaceful. Quiet and safe, the fishermen and hunters did appear in the early morning. Lots of birds.
Several places to pull off and camp. Would be great in an RV, not so for tent camping, due to rocks/gravel. There are fire rings. Very close to lake. Mosquitos are present. No potty. The locals drive around, but maybe a car every 30-60 minutes.
