Directions to Becky’s Creek Boondocking

To reach Becky’s Creek boondocking in West Virginia, start by heading toward Huttonsville. From there, take Becky Creek Road, also known as County Route 43.

This road runs south from US Highway 219, about nine miles from Huttonsville. The drive is mostly through forested mountain terrain.

Take your time to enjoy the views. Be aware that stream crossings along Becky Creek Road may become tricky after heavy rain or during high water.

If the water is too high, some spots might be difficult to pass. Make sure your vehicle is prepared for this kind of drive, especially if you’re going during wet seasons.

Having a map or GPS with you can help you stay on the right route. Becky’s Creek boondocking area is set in a quiet, natural spot with plenty of space for primitive camping.

Vehicle Access And Pricing

Getting to Becky’s Creek boondocking sites can be a bit tricky. The roads are mostly gravel and rough.

You will need a bold 4-wheel-drive vehicle to cross several creek fords safely. There are 3 to 4 stream crossings on the way in.

When water is high, these crossings can be harder or unsafe. Always check the water levels before you go.

Access is not guaranteed all year round. You should scout the route ahead or call local sources for the latest road conditions.

Driving down unmaintained dirt roads requires caution. There is no set fee for camping at Becky’s Creek boondocking sites.

These spots are generally free and on public land. However, there might be stay limits, often around 14 days.

Becky’s Creek boondocking area has about 6 to 15 boondocking sites. RV length is not limited, so you can bring anything from a small camper to a large RV.

Amenities like water and electricity are not available. Plan to be fully self-sufficient during your visit!
