About This Location
The road in is 4×4 and 3 miles from a paved road. There are 6-15 campsites at this location. Primitive Campsite overlooking Badger Creek Rapids on the Colorado River. Free, unmaintained.
Great place to stay, there are some ruts in the beginning but after the first site it’s really soft sand and easily manageable. Stayed here and didn’t have any problems other than bumpy at the entrance. Great service with AT&T.
The first few sites are a ways away from any drop offs but the last few are right at the edge of the canyon with great views of the Colorado river. Views of the vermillion cliffs and echo cliffs are also beautiful, highly recommend this secluded stop.
