AEP Bicentennial Campground K: Awesome campground. There’s a big lake that is basically at the center of this campground and the sites are sprinkled around the outer edges. I can see why this would be one of the more popular ones as it had great views, the Buckeye Trail trailhead a stone’s throw from the campground entrance, a couple of good fishing areas, etc. Restrooms. Pretty decent size but not as big as Hook Lake and Sand Hollow. Still cool though.
I had the place all to myself. Beautiful. A real treat to be able to stay at such a nice place without charge. Well-maintained. Would definitely stay here again though I imagine it’s often crowded in nice weather.
